What We Fund
IMPORTANT NOTE: The Trust is currently not accepting new proposals for grant support earlier than 2021 other than for projects we are already committed to, or by invitation from the Trust. We do however welcome concept papers from organisations who wish to make their commercial education activities known to us now, with a view to discussing their project ideas later on in the year.
We encourage the development of commercial education from primary school level through to higher education. There are certain operating principles which are taken into account when considering grant applications:
- all projects supported must be for the benefit of the public
- wherever possible, partnerships are sought with organisations with outreach capacity so as to benefit the community as a whole, rather than individuals
- projects where we are not to be the sole funder will be favoured as the Trustees believe that matched funding is a tangible sign of an applicant’s commitment and the sustainability of a project.
We play a proactive role in developing projects to achieve maximum impact and measure success through independent evaluation.
